
Costa Blanca
The Costa Blanca, literally meaning "White Coast" is over 200 of kilometers of Mediterranean coastline in the Alicante province, on the southeastern coast of Spain. It extends from the town of Dénia in the north, beyond which lies the Costa del Azahar (or Costa dels Tarongers), to Pilar de la Horadada in the south, beyond which lies the Costa Cálida.

The Alicante region has a lot to offer, from exciting stalactite caves in Busot, waterfalls and zoos in the mountains to amusement parks, a chocolate museum, picturesque marinas and luxurious five-star hotels. There are many traces of both the Romans and the Arabs who ruled the area, including the stately castle of Santa Barbara from where you can easily keep an eye on the entire Costa Blanca. In the old bullfighting arena, concerts and theater performances are arranged. For those who like shopping will not be disappointed.The City Centre is filled with exciting shops selling clothes, shoes, interior design and antique goods. Also do not miss the Market Hall (Mercado Central) which is open every day and where the Alicanteses buy fresh food of the highest quality. The city offers a wonderful mix of history, culture, architecture and modern lifestyle. Around the city of Alicante there are five different golf courses within a 20 km radius. The nightlife in Alicante is active all year round, although it is somewhat calmer in the winter months.
